GTM ST1201A tile cutter

The GTM ST1201A is an electric tile cutter made for cutting porcelain stoneware at 90 degrees and at 45 degrees. It can take off a micro chamfer, a bullnose chamfer with a finger bit, and it can also cut grooves for inlay strips. Its main use is the 45 degree cut (chamfering).

Its distinguishing feature is the automatic travel of the carriage with the blade. This cutter, like its rivals Wandeli and Shijing, is at its best on porcelain stoneware. The blade is cooled by water fed into the cutting zone. A pump does the feeding and the pressure can be adjusted. The water reaches the blade through two small tubes that can be aimed. The water feed and the automatic feed at low speed keep chipping to a minimum. A blade for the hardest porcelain stoneware comes with it. A chamfering finger bit is included.

A powerful 1750 W brushed motor of the angle grinder type will handle porcelain stoneware up to 19 mm thick in one pass. There is a reduction gear that lowers the blade mounting axis. The motor with the blade can be raised and locked at any height. Carriage travel speed is adjustable. You can also work it by hand. There is a mode that returns the carriage to its starting position. There is residual current protection against electric shock.

The guide (rail), the side upright of the rail and some other parts are made of aluminium. The table is steel, well painted. The cutter stands firmly on its legs. The legs fold easily. There are wheels so you can move it around the site. For quick, easy marking of the tile there is a red laser.
