Rubi DC 250 1200 tile cutter.

This is the most widespread tile cutter around, and by now the benchmark for electric machines. It can be used to cut porcelain stoneware, ceramics, granite, marble and other materials.

Now very briefly about its strong points:

• the carriage runs on 4 plastic rollers along the outside of the guide rail. Each plastic roller has two radial bearings. The rollers run on the rail dry;
• thanks to the thick steel of the rail and a decent build, the carriage runs quite rigidly along the rail and does not flex even when cutting a chamfer (a cut at 45);
• the blade lifts about 25 mm above the table surface;
• the blade can be locked at any height above the surface;
• minimum blade deflection when you lock it, there is no step in the cut;
• you can fit a 230 mm blade instead of the 250 mm one;
• wide clamping flanges – 90 mm;
• larger 130 mm flanges can be fitted as an option;
• the body is steel, strong and well painted;
• the table top is made of 4 aluminium sections;
• a reliable, long-lived induction motor with thermal protection and a quick-stop button;
• the power cable, the pump cable and the water hose run in a corrugated sleeve lifted above the rail so they stay out of the way;
• the legs fold in neatly for storage and transport.

Downsides:

• the 1205 mm cut length is quoted with the motor raised, with it lowered you get 1105 mm;
• no mains cable, no table extensions and so on in the box.
