Forte TC 200-620 Bridge Tile Saw

This is a classic bridge saw with no motor plunge. The design is simple, dependable and long-lived. The water tray doubles as the mount for the aluminium guide. The motor rides along that guide on 4 horizontal bearings set on eccentrics. Water is fed into the cutting zone by a pump to cool the blade. The legs can be attached to the tray, or the saw can simply sit on a table. The carriage is fairly stiff in torsion, so together with the 200 mm blade it cuts straight lines easily, and 45 degree chamfers as well. A special protractor stop for diagonal and other angled cuts is included. The only shortcoming is the slightly wrong mounting of the flexible conduit that carries the pump power cable and the water line, but that is easy to sort out. The saw motor is an induction type rated 800 W, which is enough for every kind of ceramic and porcelain tile. Blade speed of 3000 rpm gives a clean finished cut not only in porcelain but in ceramic too.
