Vulkan TSW250W-1200 Electric Tile Cutter

The Vulkan TSW250W electric tile cutter is an attempt to build a copy of the Rubi DC 250 1200 electric tile cutter. And to a degree the Chinese makers pulled it off. The machine gives a 1300 mm cut (if you feed the tile under the blade), or 1200 mm with the motor lowered all the way. A carriage with the motor rides along an aluminium guide rail on 4 plastic rollers. Two radial bearings are pressed into the plastic rollers, which keeps the travel smooth. The rail (guide) does not need greasing, just keep it clean and dry. The cutter is fitted with a powerful 1500 W induction motor, but the catch with it is that it runs hot. So this machine will serve you for years, but not for production cutting, and not for thick granite and marble. The motor with the blade lifts and locks at any height. The longitudinal tubes, which double as stiffening ribs, carry 4 aluminium pads that are easy to take off. A wide-tile extension is included. A blade is included too, but only use it for rough cuts, or for jobs that have nothing to do with tile. The cutter has sturdy adjustable legs that fold up under the machine.
