Shijing 1322 Manual Tile Cutter, 850 mm

The Shijing 1322 manual tile cutter belongs to the mid price bracket. Cutters of this type come in different lengths:
Shijing 1322 – L = 850 mm – 8075 UAH;
Shijing 1352 – L = 1250 mm – 12500 UAH.

This cutter is copied from a Rubi and has its own pluses and minuses.

Pluses:
– the side stop gives you accuracy on repeat cuts, skirting strips and so on;
– the two solid rods are strong and well finished;
– a dependable carriage on plenty of bearings, which gives easy travel along the two rods;
– a big handle, which makes breaking the tile easy;
– the aluminium base keeps the weight down;
– a green laser, which in theory should speed up the setting up before the score;
– the scoring wheels can be swapped for other diameters. Rubi wheels fit;
– the break runs the whole length of the tile;
– light, does not corrode.

Minuses:
– the rail is not rigid enough;
– the rod diameter is not enough to give the necessary rigidity (on the 1352).
