Sigma 3E4M 127 Max Manual Tile Cutter, 1250 mm

The Sigma 3E4M 127 max is every tiler’s dream. Simple, dependable, long-lived. It does not lose its resale value over the years. A one-piece die-cast aluminium base, reinforced with stiffening ribs. A base like that barely flexes under load. It has four fold-out legs so that wide format tile sits comfortably. It has two pairs of spring-loaded galvanised clamping pads. A solid breaking rib runs the whole length of the base. Near the rule the rib is replaced with steel so that it lasts. The rail is 15 mm wide and is a nicely polished, straight chrome steel rail. The Sigma rail is height adjustable, so tile of different thicknesses is comfortable to score. You score with the head of the handle leading, away from the rule towards the tail. Most tilers do turn the handle round and score towards the rule. In that case, though, you have to protect the rule from damage. The handle on the Sigma is of the impact type; the break happens either through light taps or through pressure. The scoring wheel is 19 mm in diameter, on a bearing. The breaker foot is spring-loaded, stays out of the way while you score, and at the end of the score flips down automatically to break the tile. You can break along the whole length of the rail. The aluminium rule with its stuck-on millimetre scale swings both ways and locks and calibrates quickly and easily. The cutter breaks all sorts of tile easily and cleanly, which is why tilers have come to trust it. It takes the MAX (127 mm) and KLICK-KLOCK (129 mm) handles. A rear rule can be ordered as well to make measuring easier.
