Sigma 95 4DN NEX tile cutter

The Sigma serie 4 95 4DN has an unusual handle-carriage – it carries 3 special concave rollers that run on a convex rail. Two underneath, one on top. Because of that, rail wear is kept to a minimum as long as the bearings are working. Each roller has a double-row bearing. On top of that, one roller is spring-tensioned, which keeps it right for the whole service life with no adjustment.

The rail is 10 mm thick and is bolted down at the ends.

The Sigma serie 4 95 4DN tile cutter has a handle holding a universal scoring wheel – a 16 mm roller that turns smoothly on a needle bearing fitted inside the wheel. Metal inserts on either side reduce wear. The mid-range wheel size makes it universal, for glossy tile as well as textured tile.

The large ergonomic handle breaks the tile with a press.

The 16 mm scoring wheel is clearly visible from the operator’s side and carries two springs for soft scoring of textured tile.

Titanium-coated scoring wheels are available.

The handle carries 120 mm wide breaker feet with a plastic insert. The insert makes them soft and keeps them from leaving marks. The feet flip up automatically as the handle is raised. They have to be put back by hand.

The handle can be locked at any height, which is handy.

The rubber bumper at the front absorbs the shock during the break so the base post is not damaged.

The Sigma serie 4 95 4DN tile cutter has a one-piece rigid aluminium base standing on rubber feet. It normally has one leg to support wide tile. As always, a metal plate is set into the cutting zone, which gives the breaking edge a long service life.
