an Italian tile cutter that has some very good points about it, but at the same time needs a little sorting out.
Pluses:
– a strong, rigid base that does not flex when cutting any tile or porcelain stoneware;
– a securely fixed rail that needs no adjusting over the whole life of the tool;
– a unique breaking system that automatically breaks both thin and wide strips;
– the break can be made along the whole length;
– the carriage has no play at all, it runs easily on bearings and is easy to adjust;
– a good, strong ruler that calibrates at 90 and 45 degrees;
– the side stop has no play and comes off quickly;
– the galvanised pad on springs holds the tile firmly so it does not rock from side to side;
– unique legs let you cut wide tile and even wide narrow tile;
– a unique breaker lets you break tile without a blow;
– the scoring wheel is clearly visible while you work;
– made in Italy.
Downsides:
– the 22 mm scoring wheel has no bearing (it can be swapped for one with a bearing);
– there is play in the rod the scoring wheel is fitted to (easy to take out yourself);
– the folding part of the ruler runs 1 mm out of parallel with the main ruler (I recommend taking it off altogether).

The aluminium handle holds 11 ball bearings, which gives maximum accuracy, smooth movement, a precise score and a clear view of the score line. Its maximum cutting thickness is 15 mm and it is fitted with 4 teflon scratch guards on the feet. The measuring guide can be set on either side; it has a measuring scale for ±45° angles, divided into centimetres and inches for straight cuts, and a scale for diagonals. The measuring guide also has an extension. The cutter has scratch-resistant, non-slip rubber feet and fold-out side supports for large tile.
