Rubi TX-1250 Max Manual Tile Cutter

The RUBI TX-1250 MAX is the best manual tile cutter I know of. This has been proven by many battles, contests between tile cutters, which you can watch on Anatolii Sovailo’s YouTube channel.
What the Rubi TX 1250 MAX has going for it:
– the base is made of two parts firmly joined together. The base is cast from injected aluminium, which is very strong and does not bend. On top of that, the two bases are joined by a very strong thick-walled rail that keeps them from flexing;
– the carriage runs on two thick-walled (2 mm) thick (30 mm) tubes. Because the tubes are strong, they do not bend, so they are up to cutting the hardest, thickest tile with thick enamel. You can lean on the carriage hard and not worry about getting a “belly”;
– the carriage runs smoothly along the two tubes thanks to long-lasting bushings that do not wear out and do not develop play over the whole life of the cutter. Provided, of course, that you keep the tubes clean;
– the carriage carries a very strong push-down breaker that works like a jack;
– despite the wide feet of the breaker, experience shows that the cutter simply cuts off both thick and thin strips of tile;
– the feet of the breaker fold up and lock so that the cutting area stays visible. The feet have plastic pads for cutting the most delicate tile;
– the cutter has 4 side feet, which makes cutting wide tile easier;
– the cutter has a swivelling ruler that can be calibrated;
– scoring wheels of different diameters can be fitted into the carriage. Wheels of 8 and 22 mm for different kinds of tile are included;
– the tile can be broken along the whole length. For this there is a special rib of injected aluminium down the middle. And next to the ruler, where breaking happens most often, the rib is reinforced with a metal plate;
– the whole working table is covered with galvanised pads on springs, thanks to which the tile lies flat and level while you score it;
– a case for storage and transport is included.
