If you need to true a tile up after cutting, take the sharp edges off or put a micro chamfer on, a hook-and-loop grinding pad is what you want. It works without water fed into the cutting zone, but at minimum speed. Before you start, run the pad over an abrasive material so that it does not burn straight away.

They were developed specifically for dry polishing of engineered and natural stone, and suit porcelain stoneware, marble and granite particularly well.
